Yeast infections affect both men and women, and most people are unaware of the facts.

Candida albicans, a fungus that is naturally present in the body, causes most infections. It causes infection when it overgrows.
It flourishes in warm, moist areas of the body.
Studies have shown that around 75% of women experience at least one vaginal yeast infection in their lifetime.

What is a yeast infection?

A yeast infection, also known as candidiasis, is a common fungal infection caused by an overgrowth of Candida albicans, a type of yeast, in the body; it can affect various areas.

Types of Yeast Infections

– Wearing tight, non-breathable clothing
– Excess moisture (sweaty private area, poor drying)
– Poor private area hygiene
– Sexual transmission (yes, it can happen)

How to Clean Your Penis

If You’re Uncircumcised:

  1. Gently pull back the foreskin (do not force it if it doesn’t easily retract).

  2. Wash underneath with warm water.

    • Avoid using strong soap under the foreskin, as it can irritate sensitive skin.

  3. Rinse thoroughly to remove smegma (a white, cheese-like substance that naturally forms).

  4. Dry gently before pulling the foreskin back over the head of the penis.

If You’re Circumcised:

  1. Wash the head of the penis and shaft with warm water and mild soap.

  2. Rinse off all soap to avoid irritation.

  3. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.

Treatment of itchy pumps

1. Antifungal medications: Topical or oral medications to eliminate the yeast overgrowth.
2. Lifestyle changes: Practicing good hygiene, wearing breathable clothing, and managing underlying conditions.
